THE
THE THIRST PROJECT
Since The Thirst Project is one of the world’s largest youth water organizations, the Thirst Project seeks to educate students on the global water crisis. As the youth is our future, focusing on students is their main goal because they can change the world. Waterborne diseases kill more children every single year than AIDS, Malaria, and violence combined. In many countries. women and children spend almost half of their day to fetch a decent amount of water. So, with close, safe drinking water, those in Swaziland can focus on taking a larger step towards contributing towards their family’s financial welfare, and towards the economic stability of their country. In addition to our help, we can make this possible.
WHAT'S HAPPENING IN SWAZILAND?
Swaziland was chosen because it has the highest population density of HIV/AIDS. For someone with AIDS, drinking dirty water can kill faster than AIDS itself. Since Swaziland’s population is small enough to make it possible to eliminate the water crisis, it will be easy to help them within a few years. The Thirst Project is trying to raise about $50 million to the entire nation of Swaziland by the year 2022.
